A HORRABRIDGE at War exhibition is being staged next month to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.
On Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4, residents will be able to attend the exhibition, which has been organised by CSgt Ian Mulholland RM, with the assistance from the Horrabridge Combined Service Group.
On display will be items from The Boer War through the ages to recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Medals, memorabilia and stories have been loaned by local families.
CSgt Mulholland said: ‘If anyone with any Horrabridge connection either historically or current residents would like to share their items, the committee would be delighted
‘The village has always had a strong military presence from high ranking officers to the 80 or so Royal Marines and sailors who were living in the village at the time of the Falklands conflict.
‘The Fitzsimmons family have an archive of historical events in Horrabridge and will be assisting the event.’
The exhibition will be open on both days from 10am.
