A TWO-day trip to London as part of an award recognising 20 years of service to Sodexho — a leading food and facilities management services provider — was the treat for a woman from  Tavistock. Julie Soper, from Brentor Road, who works for Sodexho at Kelly College, was one of 110 Sodexho long service recipients from across the UK and Ireland. The trip included attending Sodexho's annual star awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in London, where Julie received recognition in front of more than 600 employees; a trip on the London Eye; a luxury lunch cruise on the River Thames and a gift of her choice from an exclusive selection. In a special ceremony held on the luxury cruiser, Symphony II, Sodexho chief executive, Philip Jansen thanked Julie for her continuous hard work and dedication, and presented her with the company's 'Twenty Years of Service' badge. He said: 'Sodexho's success is built primarily on its people. This annual event is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for people like Julie, and to show just how much we value and appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and loyalty she has shown over the years.' In the UK and Ireland, Sodexho employs 48,000 employees, and provides catering and a range of facilities management services to clients at more than 2,300 locations in the business and industry, education, healthcare, leisure and defence sectors.
