FIRE crews were called to a report of a fridge on fire in a property near Milton Abbot on Saturday.

Crews from Tavistock and Launceston attended the incident at 3.21am.

Western Power was also requested, as well as an ambulance for an elderly female suffering smoke inhalation.

The ground floor utility room was 25% damaged by the fire.

The crews used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a 45mm jet, lighting, a dry powder extinguisher, small tools and a thermal imaging camera to deal with the incident.
