PEOPLE in East Cornwall are being reminded of changes to refuse and recycling collections over the Christmas and New Year period. There will be no refuse collections on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Households that will be affected will be issued with a plastic sack the week before Christmas, and the refuse that would normally have been collected on these days will be collected the week after Christmas. From January 1 to 4, all refuse collections will be a day later than usual, with the Friday collections being made on January 5. Normal refuse collections resume on January 7. There will be no kerbside recycling collection on December 25 or 26 or on January 1. Recyclables can either be kept until the next collection or taken to local recycling banks.
