MOUNT House started this match with a 100% record, but King?s Hall, from Taunton, proved to be demanding opposition.

With the wind behind them the Somerset side took the lead and it was only a try by Ed O?Neill on the stroke of half time that cut the King?s Hall lead to two points.

The second half began encouragingly with a well worked blindside try by Rory Oxenham.

A penalty for the home side tied up the scores at 10-10.

An excellent try by Tom Lawson and further tries for man of the match Ed O?Neill and skipper Rory Oxenham saw the Devon unit home by 25-10.

As well as the 1st XV, five other sides represented Mount House in the block fixture against King?s Hall. The 2nd XV lost a close encounter 10-20 while the 3rd XV lost 0-36. At U11 level the Colts A maintained their 100% record with a comfortable 19-0 win, the Colts B lost 0-7 while the Colts C played in a try scoring bonanza, going down 20-65.
