USUALLY I have a little moan and let what our council does pass me by but this time I feel a little more incensed to put pen to paper.
Not being a local but having spent the last 54 years in the town I see history repeating itself once more. Several years back in West Street was the old Devon Transport yard which was derilect for quite a while and then Woolworths wanted to open a store on the site. Guess what, the council of the time rejected it and the site remained ugly and disused. At least the Tesco site will be out of view of visitors to the town.
May I also say I will still be going to Crediton or Launceston as the petrol prices warrant me doing it.
