FROM the start Tavistock were taking control.

Kirsty Jones took the ball up the left wing, passing to new signing Natalie Beach, who cracked through the Bideford defence and netted her first goal for Tavistock.

Tavistock kept pressure on Bideford. Hone and Corrales worked the midfield, sending the ball to Kirsty Jones, who worked round the defence and scored Tavistock?s second.

Bideford stepped up a gear and started battling for the ball.

After a poor clearance from defence, Bideford came in and scored their first goal.

Tavistock continued their superb team work and Rhianne Parsons got the ball across to Beach, who scored again. Tavistock carried on the strong attack.

Not to be left out, Parsons scored the fourth for Tavistock minutes before half time.

In the second half a confident performance by goalkeeper Gemma Russan stopped Bideford from changing the score.

After a good run Beach was brought down in the box and awarded a penalty.

Captain Donna Hone took the penalty, beating Bideford keeper, for Tavistock?s fifth.

With a clear head, Tavistock still kept on the attack and Beach scored her third of the day, bringing the score up to 6-1.

A quick substitution saw Kate Atkinson take over where Beach left off, with fresh legs. Atkinson took on Bideford defence and won through to score Tavistock?s seventh.

Bideford came in on the attack and scored two straight goals, pulling the score back to 7-3.

But Tavistock were on the attack again, and Parsons took the ball upfield to finish with a superb goal, bringing the final score to 8-3 for their first home win.
