POLICE are still trying to trace a fourth person involved in the rescue of a Tavistock woman from a fire in her flat last month. Neighbours of Judy Worth — Michael and Sandra Merrett and Mick Rogers — have been praised for their heroic actions in rescuing her from the burning building in Meavy Way on October 30. Another man helped at the scene but despite an appeal he has not yet come forward: 'This man disappeared once he got the lady outside and nobody knows who he is or where he is from,' said Sgt Mark Hoar. 'We would like to speak to him so we can piece together the sequence of events.' Officers from Devon Fire and Rescue said at the time that Mrs Worth's life had almost certainly been saved by the actions of these people. Sgt Hoar can be contacted on 08452 777444.
