WORKING steam engines from the collection of the Robey Trust will feature in an exhibition of industrial heritage items this weekend as part of the Heritage Open Days event, co-ordinated and supported by English Heritage. Engines in various states of restoration can be seen along with the workshops in which the parts are manufactured to keep the historic machinery in working order. The Robey Trust collection has grown to its present size over the last 30 years and is run by volunteers who continue to use traditional techniques to maintain the collection. Visit the Robey Trust this Saturday and Sunday (September 13 and 14) at the Parade Business park, Pixon Lane, Tavistock. The exhibition is free to enter between 10am and 5pm and refreshments will be available.
