CREAM teas and home-made cakes will be on offer at Kilworthy Farm in Tavistock when it opens to the public this month. The open days are part of the National Heritage days taking place across the country, which allow people to explore areas they would not normally see. Sandra Valance, from the farm, said: ?The buildings are totally unique and we only normally open for 28 days of the year. People will be able to go on guided tours and listen to talks.? The four days are also a chance for Kilworthy Farm to raise money for the charity, Farm Crisis Network, which helped Kilworthy and other farms in the area during the foot and mouth crisis. To raise money, Sandra will be making cakes and cream teas, with 50% donated to the network. Sandra said: ?I did lean on the farmers? network through foot and mouth, and I would recommend that anybody under pressure in the farming community, needing help, should give them a ring. I relied on them a lot, so I want to donate 50 per cent.? The farm, will be open to the public free on Thursday, September 8, through to Sunday, September 11, between 10.30am and 4pm.
