THE organiser of a charity event to remember the life of a former president and captain of Okehampton Golf Club is looking for donations of raffle and auction prizes.

John Spry died in September following a long battle with prostate cancer. John's granddaughter Rachel Spry is organising a memorial golf day on Friday, March 30 at Okehampton Golf Club to support Hospiscare, a charity that provided John with support during his illness.

Rachel is currently looking for prizes for the main golf competition, auction and raffle.

All donations, however big or small, will be gratefully received.
