MAY I thank through the Times, all the kind people of Tavistock and beyond who bought books from my stall in Tavistock Market recently for the Margaret Green Rescue Centre at Brentor (Wingletang).

The money raised came to £200, which will go to the refurbishment of the cattery. Also the money donated in the collection box for the whole of 2009 came to £97.71.

We are still collecting spent ink cartridges and old mobile phones, which can be donated in the box on my stall every Friday. All the money raised helps look after the cats and dogs waiting for new homes.

So if you are thinking about giving a loving home to either a new cat or dog, please think of our rescue centre first.
