A SPECIAL fundraising day at Whitchurch Community Primary School was held recently to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

The day was organised by house captains and each house ran a different event, including 'Learn the dance routine', 'Pick and mix sweet stall', 'Name the bear' and 'Ice your own cakes and biscuits'.

In addition the day was a non-uniform or mufti day and the children raised just over £500 which will fund a complete ShelterBox.
