IF you can help make the spectacular Sticklepath Fireshow go with a bang, organisers want to hear from you. The fireshow committee is on the lookout for one or two new people to help out with the publicity and marketing of the event, which is one of the largest annual community arts events in the South West. If you have ever fancied helping out with the fireshow this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for. Fireshow safety officer Dave Goodwin said: ?You would not necessarily need any hands on experience of such work as there will be plenty of back up and support available. ?While the committee would like the new person/people to be a member(s) of the committee, if meetings are not your thing then it would be possible to tackle the role without any obligation to attend committee meetings in person.? You do not have to be a Sticklepath resident to help out. Fireshow is the main Bonfire Night celebration for most of Okehampton and district, so wherever you live please do not be afraid to get in touch.
