THE Son-Rise Cup day on Saturday May 16 was a huge success. It was heart-warming to see so many people there (despite the weather!).

On behalf of the young people of Tavistock Youth Café Plus and their parents and carers I'd like to say a big thank you to the far too many people to list here, but you know who you are, who supported and helped out, and to all the teams who took part.

A special mention to Allen Lewis, our secretary, for his relentless hard work, and Stewart O'Loughlin, our patient coach.

Many thanks also to Will Reed, Morrison's, especially 'the fabulous three ladies', Tavistock Tyres, the Round Table, Tavistock Football Club and more.

THE Tavistock and District branch of Guide Dogs would like to thank everyone who generously gave money during our annual flag day collections on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.

The total collected was £834.53. No expenses were deducted and all this money will be used to enable guide dogs to continue their valuable work.
