ALL the latest news on a new skatepark to be built in Tavistock will be on the agenda of a meeting taking place in the town next month.
Taviskate, the town?s club for in-line skaters, skate boarders and BMX riders, is holding its annual meeting at the youth office in Tavistock College on July 7. The meeting is an excellent opportunity for members old and new to see detailed drawings of the skatepark, its location in Benson Meadows and the planned start date.
Richard Porter, chairman of Taviskate, said: ?Parents of skaters are also welcome, as fresh talents are always appreciated ? we are currently seeking a treasurer to keep our ever-increasing budget balanced, but any form of help is appreciated.?
At the annual meeting, skaters will also have the opportunity to sign up for a trip to Mount Hawke Skatepark this summer, and to hear about local competitions ? all ages welcome.
