THE last in a series of talks to develop a greater awareness of natural ways to healthy living will be held tomorrow (Friday) in the Ockment Centre.

Local artist John Christian will be setting his paintbrushes aside to give a personal approach to dowsing. Mr Christian, who is also a moor walker and rider, has been developing the dowsing technique for a quarter of a century and came to the Dartmoor area 23 years ago.

His illustrated talk to 'The Okehampton Awareness Group' will explore the sites, origins, awareness, beliefs, achievements and expansion of dowsing's Megalithic culture.

Nationally renowned healer Julie Soskin has had to postpone her talk which was scheduled for April 14 until later in the year. There will be a new programme of speakers after Easter.

All meetings are arranged to start at 7pm for 7.30pm on the second and fourth Friday of each month. The entry fee of £2.50 includes refreshments. Further details about the group or speakers can be obtained by phoning 01837 54880/54215.
