RESIDENTS in Callington are being encouraged to call the town council if they are self-isolating, vulnerable, lonely, at risk, need vital shopping or a prescription collected.

Leave a message stating your name, address and phone number with your requirements.

Your message will be picked up by staff at Callington Town Council who are working remotely.

Your call will be transferred to one of the council’s Volunteer Group Organisers (Lions, Rotary, Battling-On, Churches Combined or town council staff).

The duty organiser for that day will inform one of their volunteers of your message and you will be contacted by that volunteer.

All volunteers have been issued with ID cards and receipt books. This is to prove they are genuine and that you can trust them.

How you pay will be discussed between yourselves and the volunteer.

This help programme is currently available between 9am and 2pm and run between Monday and Friday.
