THE Museum of Dartmoor Life is inviting animal lovers to enjoy a unique experience on Saturday October 29.

The museum is holding an event for people to bring their pets along to the courtyard between 10.30am and 1pm and have a photograph taken. Each photo will be entered into a prize draw. The winner will receive a portrait of their pet painted by artist Helene Lewis.

As part of the Big Draw Campaign to get as many people possible involved in art, Helene and Liz Grant will be on hand from 10.30am to 3pm to encourage people to try their hand at drawing and painting. Art materials will be available, with the event being sponsored by West Devon Borough Council.

The museum also welcomes anyone who might be interested in becoming a volunteer or a friend of the museum to come along, chat to staff and see what opportunities are available. For further information call the museum on 01837 52295.
