TAVISTOCK COLLEGE students Sam, Imogen and Saskia Sills celebrated a memorable, golden hat-trick at the recent RYA Youth and Masters Windsurfing Championships in Weymouth. The siblings ruled the waves at the event, which was held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, picking up gold medals in their respective categories. Sam, 14, who has also won the World Techno 293 U15 title in Spain, refused to let his high standards drop by winning all seven of his races as he took gold in the Bic Techno 6.8 class. Eleven year-old twins Saskia and Imogen both followed their elder brother?s example as they finished top of the podium in their individual classes. Saskia won her third girls? title in a row in the Bic Techno 5.5 class. Imogen, who only took up the sport competitively two years ago, improved on the silver medal she won at last year?s event by taking the top prize in the girls? Bic Techno 4.5 event. The trio?s PE teacher at the college, Chrissie Bassett, was delighted by their achievements. She said: ?It is absolutely fantastic. It is great to have such really talented youngsters at the college.?
