TAVISTOCK Men?s Hockey team needed a kick start to the season after last week?s loss and they knew Yeovil would not be an easy side to beat.
The dynamic front two of Lovett and Honey hassled well giving the Yeovil defence no time at the back.
This harassment paid off as Tavistock opened the scoring with a sweet piece of individual skill from Way slotting the ball into the corner of the goal.
Yeovil quickly tried to make a comeback but with no success from some good saves made by the keeper, Bradley. Tavistock once again pushed forward and from a well worked piece of play Lovett scored Tavistock?s second.
The second half consisted of much the same with the central midfielders of Barratt and Way feeding good ball through to the front two adding extra pressure onto the Yeovil defence. Tavistock started to tighten the screw on Yeovil and from a short corner Lethbridge struck home the winner giving them a three goal victory.
