A TAVISTOCK man and his son will undertake a 10,000ft tandem parachute jump this Saturday (October 14) at Dunkerswell Airfield in aid of Cancer Research UK. Guy Massey, who works at Ottery Press Ltd in Tavistock, and his son Daniel hope to raise a combined total of £2,000 for the Derriford group of Cancer Research. In 2000 Guy?s wife had a cancer scare resulting in her having a kidney removed. He expressed delight that she made a full recovery, but said thousands of people are not so fortunate. He said: ?It seems a crazy thing for a middle aged managing director to be doing, but I wanted to put something back to say thank you.?
