STUDENTS at Shebbear College visited Exeter Cathedral and Exeter Synagogue as part of their religious studies trip recently.
During a guided tour, the pupils explored the history and symbolism of the cathedral, with some 'gargoyle-spotting', inspiring the pupils to create their own patterned symbolic tiles in the workshop that followed.
Students visited the synagogue in the afternoon. The boys donned skull caps and were separated from the girls, sitting on opposite sides. They were then treated to a fascinating introduction to Judaism.
