ON Saturday Okehampton Otters hosted a gala at Parklands Leisure Centre for City of Lincoln Pentaqua and Bude Sharks swimming clubs. The evening was well supported and Nigel West, the head coach of City of Lincoln Pentaqua, was warmly welcomed back to the club that he had previously coached for 15 years. The competition was enthusiastically contested with City of Lincoln winning the three club contest. Chairman Nick Bowles presented the shield to the winners, while Okehampton Otters came second. Also at the event a cheque for £200 was presented to the Devon Air Ambulance in memory of Emily Webster, a former Otters swimmer who tragically lost her life.
