A NEW NHS dentist surgery in Tavistock has won the go-ahead from planners. The dental surgery will be situated in the West Devon Borough Council offices at Kilworthy Park, which are currently being upgraded and extended. The borough?s planning committee gave its support to the proposal on Tuesday. It will include three treatment rooms and ancillary rooms such as offices, waiting and staff rooms in the area which formerly housed the council chamber. Officers said the main issue was the provision of car parking but it was felt that patients could be accommodated by existing parking on site. ?Given the levels of parking to be provided in connection with the approved re-development of the council offices, it is considered that the needs of the surgery would be met by the existing arrangements,? said officers.
