A YOUTH rotary club in Tavistock has been busy this year with local and international projects.
Tavistock Interact is for young people in Tavistock and is made up of students from Mount Kelly and Tavistock College.
The club began two years ago and over the last year Tavistock Interact has achieved chartered status by completing both local and international projects, including raising money and packing boxes, for the charity Literacy in a Box, litter picking around Tavistock, and Bingo nights in local nursing homes.
This year the club, which is open to local young people aged 12 to 18, plans to collect food for local food banks along with many other projects.
Rotary district governor John James said: 'Tavistock Interact is a great club and a fantastic addition to the Rotary family.
'It was one of the highlights of last year for me, when I had the huge privilege of handing over their charter.'
Anyone interested in becoming a part of Tavistock Interact should speak to Lauren Dawe at Mount Kelly or Jed Coiley at Tavistock College, or email [email protected]">[email protected]
