You had better get baking as Mime cafe in Paddons Row, Tavistock is planning a big fundraising day at the weekend for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal which includes the Great Tavistock Bake-Off.

With the help of NL Fitness and a few friends Mime staff will be attempting to ‘row’ a marathon, They will be hosting a ‘Great Tavistock Bake-Off’ to be judged tomorrow (Friday) with the cakes being sold on Saturday and all proceeds going to the charity. The competition will be judged by an ‘elite judging panel’ and the winner will receive a £20 Lawsons voucher.

Dave Starkey from the Mime team will be having his legs waxed by Jess at No 5 Aesthetic and Beauty salon and he’s looking for sponsors. Raffle tickets are being sold all week and with some fantastic prizes including a graze table to share with friends up to the value of £100 and £50 cash but donations of prizes are still being accepted. Mime can also take donations in the cafe for the Disaster Emergency Committee which is running the humanitarian appeal.
