SOUTH Tawton Primary School netball teams have made an excellent start to the season with the A team winning all of their matches and the B team winning two and drawing one.

South Tawton A team's first fixture was a friendly, away against Kelly Junior School, where they had a convincing win by 19 goals to 1.

Fielding experienced players and a new found confidence the team have gone on to win all of their league matches.

Results: South Tawton 6, North Tawton 3; South Tawton 18, Hatherleigh 4; South Tawton 18, Okehampton 1.

For most of the girls in the B team this has been their first taste of competitive netball and they have all risen to the challenge well, beating North Tawton 5-0, drawing with Hatherleigh 3-3 and finally beating Okehampton 6-2 after a tough and exciting match.
