THE Tavistock and District Primary Schools High Five netball tournament was held at Tavistock College this month.

In the large schools section six teams took part: Bere Alston, Bickleigh Down, St Peters, St Andrew's and two teams from Whitchurch.

Each team played each other and the eventual winners were St Andrew's. They won every one of their games beating Whitchurch 'B' 3 - 0; Whitchurch 'A' 4 -2; Bickleigh Down 4 – 0; St Peters 4 – 0 and Bere Alston 2 -1.

The members of St Andrew's team were a mix of girls and boys from year 6. The team will now go forward to the West Devon Tournament to play the winners and runner up of the Okehampton Area Schools.

The tournament was played in a great spirit and all participants seemed to very much enjoy it.
