THE beautiful surroundings of The Garden House at Buckland Monachorum will be the venue for a host of very talented musicians on Sunday August 12. Starting at noon, the afternoon?s programme will cover a broad spectrum of acoustic music including traditional folk, contemporary singer songwriters and jazz. The large line up of artists include Demelza Lucy, Alicia Morgan, Bats Feather, Shockwave Generators, Hum and Playing Soldiers. All the performers have generously donated their fees to The Fortescue Garden Trust, the charity that maintains and develops The Garden House as a visitor attraction and garden of horticultural significance. This staging of this event will provide a rare opportunity for everyone to enjoy the sights and scents of an August garden at its peak ? to the sound of music! Normal Garden admission prices will apply, but special arrangements for this family day out mean that children 16 and under will be admitted free on the day.
