THE Tavistock Times Gazette is always very informative, so may I give thanks for the mobile library that does a wonderful job in providing an excellent service for older people in our outlying villages. At Mary Tavy, the library van visits every fourth Wednesday — the next one on October 1. It parks at the bus shelter, opposite the Methodist Chapel. The chapel is now open for tea, coffee and biscuits to coincide with the library visit, and we extend a warm welcome to all. We also have a monthly jigsaw swap and lots of chit-chat.
