THE generous response of the people of Tavistock to the recent Cancer Research UK appeal in the town and outside Morrisons raised over £1,360 — a well-deserved tribute to the commitment of our loyal supporters.

We would also like to congratulate the staff of Dukes Café who recently took part in the Plymouth Race for Life, raising over £700 for our charity. We are so grateful for their energetic support which, hopefully, might encourage other groups to do likewise. Research is expensive but essential if we are to beat cancer.
