MID Devon Pony Club Tetrathletes achieved a grand double at the Dartmoor PC?s Easter Triathlon with the Junior and Mini Girls? teams both winning.
It was the first time this year that the club had fielded a junior team, and the girls, Rebecca Rowe, Scarlett Geering and Lydia Svensson did brilliantly to beat the home team by more than 500 points.
The mini team of Charlotte Rowe, Ellen Bright, Rosa Malseed and Lottie Trerise continued their fine form, finishing the competition well in front of the team from the Devon & Somerset PC, with the other teams trailing in their wake!
In the individual competitions, Jess Trerise was again on top form in the seniors, coming second to National Champion, Heather Fell, having joint best shoot and producing a stunning run that was the best in her class. Jess, remarkably, had PB?s in all three phases.
In the juniors, Rebecca put in another star performance to win the class with best swim and joint best shoot, while Scarlett came fourth and Lydia ninth. Rebecca and Scarlett both had PB shoots.
Rebecca?s sister Charllotte was the hero in the Mini Girls, winning the class by almost 300 points from the Eggesford PC?s Alice Shepherd.
Charlie put in another great swim that was comfortably the best in her class.
Lottie Trerise had a great day, coming third with PB shoot & run and Rosa finished 8th.
Ellen had a great run around the very demanding course finishing in a PB time.
The Mini boys, Antony Geering and William Leech, were determined to maintain the club?s winning ways and both finished in the places with Antony coming fourth and William sixth.
Will had the second fastest run in his class.
