THE time is rapidly approaching when the future operaters of the Okement GP Practice will be decided and patients will be keen to make their views heard. A contact line has been set up to help patients who have any questions or concerns regarding the appointment of the permanent staff at the practice. Patients can contact the patient representative, Ian Read, who was elected at the last public meeting and will be sitting on the panel with the Devon Primary Care Trust. Mr Read can be contacted by e-mail at [email protected]">[email protected] or by letters that are delivered to the practice. E-mails or letters should be marked for the attention of the patient representative. Mr Read will reply to everyone who makes contact. It is hoped that the selection process will be completed on Friday April 4. To keep all patients informed of the outcome, a public meeting has been planned to take place on this date at 7.30pm in the Charter Hall. l The Okement GP practice is based at Okehampton Hospital. The majority of patients in the Okehampton area come under Okehampton Medical Centre, in East Street.
