THE GOONVREA Singers, a Cornish choir of 30 mixed voices, will give a concert in St Eustachius Church on Saturday, October 11 at 7pm.

This year Goonvrea celebrates 20 years of song for they were formed in 1983 by Joyce Robson who is still their musical director. The choir is having a successful anniversary year.

In May the singers performed at the Methodist Church in Redruth. They were thrilled to have, as guest soloist, the internationally renowned baritone, Alan Opie. This concert raised over two and a half thousand pounds for charity.

On October 11 the singers will be performing a wide variety of choral music including works by Parry, Purcell, Rossini, Mozart and Rutter.
