OPM Colts 14 Tavistock Colts 7 TAVISTOCK Colts lost the game after being ahead at half-time for the second week running. Both teams enjoyed periods of territorial advantage but only Tavistock converted this into points after flanker Goodspeed broke through midfield from the halfway line. He chipped over the full back and gathered the ball to touch down under the posts for Tom Vanstone to convert. Vanstone made several incisive breaks through midfield from the stand off position but support was not up quick enough and the ball was lost each time. Tom Friend almost scored after a forward drive but was held up. Two second half tries by OPMs gave them the lead and they held on despite Tavistock camping in their 22-metre area for the last 15 minutes. Some good tackles from centre Thompson and Shutler offset some sloppy ball retention in midfield. Smith at scrum half delivered good ball all game but Tavistock never gave enough ball to the wings for them to threaten the line. Flanker Goodspeed was man of the match.
