Bodmin A 2
Tavistock B 1
TAVISTOCK B travelled to Bodmin and played in torrential rain for most of the game, but it was Tavistock who seemed to adapt quickest to these tricky conditions.
The away side forced a number of short corners in the first half but were unable to convert these chances.
Both sides played a good passing game but neither keeper was really troubled from open play and the sides went to the break with the score at 0-0.
After the break Tavistock again pressed, looking for the opening goal, and won another short corner, the play broke down and Bodmin cleared, although with a dubious lift out of the D, which went unpunished.
The home side was then left with a counter attack and Tavistock struggled to get back before Bodmin struck against a helpless Osbourne in the Tavistock goal.
The rest of the game saw Tavistock press Bodmin, looking for the equaliser, and although a lot of possesion was had, little in the way of goal attempts was seen.
With ten minutes left Tavistock were again caught on the counter attack and Bodmin increased their lead.
The visitors never gave up and again some good build-up play saw Reynolds keep his head as he lobbed the keeper and placed the ball in the corner of the goal.
There was just not enough time left after the re-start for Tavistock to get what would have been a fair and just result.
The team left the field in better spirits than they did with the same result last week against Bude, when they just did not perform.
