A KEEN golfing couple celebrated 60 years of marriage recently after meeting on the dance floor and taking their love to the golf course.

Joan and Dennis Voisin, originally from Plymouth but now living in Dousland, met when she was 15 and he was 17 at inter-school dancing classes in the city.

Joan, now 79, and Dennis, now 81, were married at Higher St Budeaux Church in Plymouth when they were 19 and 21 respectively. They have been living in Dousland for around 25 years and have three sons and five grandchildren.

Dennis took up golf around 45 years ago and was joined by Joan ten years later when she also took up the hobby and now the couple spend most of their time on the golf courses in the area.

They celebrated their milestone anniversary with a trip to Spain.
