A CHARITY golf day supporting the plight of those suffering with lymphoma raised a magnificent £2,337.

Organised by Cath Carey, of Okehampton Running Club, the golf day at Okehampton Golf Club on March 15 raised funds for the Lymphoma Association.

Cath is taking part in this year's London Marathon to raise funds for the charity.

The winning team on the day were Mansbridge and Balment, comprising Johnny Mansell, Martin Cox, Phil Martin and Ashley Moon..

Cath said: 'Despite the horrendous weather conditions, the day was a huge success. All money raised is going towards my London Marathon collection for the Lymphoma Assocation. All I have to do now is run the race!'

Cath expressed thanks to everyone who took part, all the local businesses who sponsored the event and the golf club for their help.
