HURDWICK and Devon County player Adam Bridgewater won the Devon Gold Medal at Teignmouth in dramatic style recently.

After 36 holes both Adam and Ross Whitelock of Staddon Heights were tied on 143, and so a play off was required, Bridgewater winning with a birdie four at the first extra hole.

Adam would like to dedicate this win to the memory of Teresa Davey, wife of the past Yelverton captain John Davey and mother of county player Scott.

Adam said: ?She was a wonderful woman ? and will be missed by all?.

Teresa died last Saturday.
