WHITCHURCH couple Bob and Peggy Williams have celebrated 50 'wonderful and happy years together' and made a generous donation to the Tavistock Triangle Centre.
They hosted a lunch party at the Moorland Garden Hotel near Yelverton on their special day. In lieu of gifts the couple requested that offerings be given to the centre and £500 was raised to support this valuable local support service.
Bob and Peggy met while Bob was serving as a Royal Marine and Peggy was working as a trained nurse.
They have experienced a happy and full life together spending time overseas and raising their two children Sarah and Nick.
Peggy now works as a volunteer alongside a team of nurses and therapists at the Tavistock Triangle Centre where cancer patients and their families can attend for information, support and advice.
