AN award-winning nursery in Sticklepath struck gold again at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Bowden Hostas, a nursery that specialises in mail order hostas, ferns and grasses, won their seventh gold medal at the show following a number of successful displays in the past. This year they won a gold medal for their display of hostas plants at the show, which opened to the public on May 24.

Tim and Ruth Penrose from Exbourne took over Bowden Hostas in 2004, and have developed it into a thriving customer-focused business. They have been working since the beginning of spring to carefully cultivate the perfect range of plants for this year's show. Ruth designed the display and worked with Tim in the week leading up to the show to set up the stand at the Royal Hospital grounds in Chelsea.

Tim said: 'We are thrilled to have again been successful, and are greatly relieved that the stressful build-up to the show is now behind us.

'Now we can focus on providing exemplary service to all the hosta lovers visiting us at the show.'
