Tavistock Girls U12s 14 Old Sutts Girls U12s 1 TAVISTOCK began eagerly on a cold morning and found themselves two goals up inside the first few minutes, with goals from Hodge and Ashworth. The goal rout then began in earnest, Tavistock were simply playing to well for their opponents to cope with. Before half time Tavistock were leading seven – nil, these coming from another Hodge strike and a superbly taken Ashowrth hat trick. Further goals from Case, a screamer into the top corner of the net and a low fizzing drive from Longdon put the game beyond any reasonable doubt. In the second half Tavistock began experimenting with players in different positions — defender Bassett went upfront and scored two good goals. Although Old Suttonians in the second half really upped their game and had some promising breaks, one of which resulted in a well taken goal. Case, who had been put in goal, came out to secure her hat trick, and a good strike from Piper saw another goal. The game was rounded off with two more goals, one from regular goalkeeper McCall and the last from Case. Player of the match: Livvy Hodge.
