A RECENT inspection from OFSTED has reassured Rainbow Pre-School Playgroup in Okehampton that it is working well in all areas of learning.
The report said that personal, social and emotional development was a high priority for the pre-school which offered a stimulating, well-equipped environment with a good range of educational resources.
Staff encouraged children to be independent learners and a broad curriculum gave appropriate coverage of the early learning goals. Good relationships were also fostered with parents and carers.
Inspectors highlighted the teamwork between staff, the quality of teaching and the amount of emphasis put on staff development and finding appropriate courses.
Good support was given to children with special educational needs, said inspectors.
