SINCE Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate Geoffrey Cox started the campaign to get local people to register their interest in broadband, the number of people registered in Okehampton has doubled, and Tavistock is now about a quarter of the way to the goal of 350 people registering their interest.

I am pleased to see that West Devon Borough Council has picked up on, and is backing the campaign.

I also note that both Bodmin and Launceston now have broadband service. We should not be left behind. I strongly encourage everyone who has an Internet connection to surf to http://www.btopenworld/broadband">www.btopenworld/broadband and register interest in getting broadband locally.
