THE game got off to a fast start.Tavistock tried for an early goal but the defence of Lipson Colts was excellent.

Payne crossed to McMullin who scored the opening goal. Some excellent defensive play by Barratt, Page, Bassett and Campbell was needed at times. McMullin was unlucky when her volley shot just went over the woodwork.

In the second half Tavistock had more possession, although three girls had to be substituted through injury.

Payne had a shot just outside the penalty area and scored. Lipson Colts then pulled one back with a good shot from 18 metres leaving Honey no chance. Honey then made a number of good saves. In the closing minutes Davey received the ball just inside the opposition?s half and let fly an absolute rocket of a shot, beating the Lipson keeper.
