Ocean league under 12s Callington 1 Tavistock Girls 2 TAVISTOCK had their work cut out against a much stronger side than their last meeting. It took only five minutes for Hammond to pass over to Rose who slotted into the far post. Callington then thwarted Tavistock by their big fast defenders and held the score until half time. The second half saw Eales going in defence to slot in beside Bassett who had a tremendous game. Gordon began to work the ball up but passing was not up to standard. Callington?s strong defence kept Tavistock out until a corner taken by Gale was met by Rose who volleyed home. In the last few minutes Eales chased back after a Callington striker, who stumbled in the box, and the referee gave a penalty. Foster managed to get a hand to it but could not stop it going in. Tavistock held out to keep them top of the league. Player of the match went to Robyn Hammond.
