Vivid A league U 13s Tavistock Girls U13s 6 Lipson Utd Girls 1 WEARING their new kit and in the presence of the RAF their sponsor, the girls went all out to impress. Isaac and Eales were fast on the wings and with great back up from Rose Tavistock began to put in some attacking moves. Rose hit the bar after a great solo run and then after another fine run saw her shot go under the keeper to put Tavistock into the lead. Lipson fought back and a tremendous shot was pushed away by Foster. Gordon, Gale and Turner joined play and after a run down the wing from Turner a hard low cross saw Gordon get her foot to it to put Tavistock 2-0 up at half time. Once again the defensive duo of Shaw and Glasspoole were superb and despite Lipson being strong on the break nothing much got through. A great through ball from Eales saw Hammond take a touch and then rifle home. Tavistock started to play some great passing football and Gordon used her speed to beat the defence and score. Rose battled furiously and after beating two defenders slotted the ball into the net. Shaw and Rose were carrying injuries and had to be replaced but Tavistock broke through with a smashing touch from Gale to set Gordon up for her hat-trick. A lapse in concentration saw Lipson get a well deserved goal seconds before the final whistle. Player of the match went to Katie Glasspoole.
