TAVISTOCK played their last match of the season at Crowndale and secured their place as league runners-up, losing out to last year?s winners by just one point.
Tavistock took some time to warm up but Bryant kept things going with strong runs and shots just tipping the bar. She put Tavistock into the lead.
Callington?s keeper pulled off some tremendous saves. Honey, Davies and Davey came on and it was not long before Bryant had scored again and Davies scored her first of a well earned hat-trick.
At the back, Page, Barrett and McGechie worked well and battled to keep the ball upfield. McGechie played outstandingly and took the ball upfield to set up chances at goal.
Payne on the right wing made a brilliant solo run, beating all the defence, but saw her shot go wide.
In the second half , Bassett came out of goal and was instrumental in setting Davies up to score within seconds of kick-off .
This opened the floodgates. Davey broke through a solid Callington defence and smashed the ball into the net. After another good run from McMullin, Honey latched on to a through ball and dribbled through to shoot low and wide of the keeper.
Corners taken by Payne were always threatening and after a goalmouth scramble McMullin scored a close range tap-in. Davies finished off her hat-trick with a long shot into the corner of the net.
