Tavistock Girls U18s 14 Exeter Saracens Girls U18s 38 HALF term deleted the teams? numbers and left them playing a sevens style match with eight players on each side of a half pitch. This was always going to suit the running Exeter girls but it was Tavistock who started the scoring. After some heavy tackling, which Exeter took time to adjust to, Tavistock took the ball from their own half with Paige McGechie leaving the Saracens defence behind to score an individual try which she then converted. It didn?t take long for the opposition to respond in the same manner. Tavistock tackled well, particularly Alice Conn and Kirsty McCall, but were not picking up the loose balls and lost most of their own scrums. Elly Wallace, playing in only her second game for Tavistock, took the ball down the wing only to be penalised for not putting the ball down properly. Saracens really took control of the game and ran in three tries in a row, only converting one of them. Tavistock made too many handling errors which Saracens took advantage of by scoring two more converted tries. Tavistock could only answer with a breakaway try from Izzy De Carles, which she also converted her try.
